Event Registration/Sponsorship Policy
TBBA requires full payment of all fees, in advance, for admission to, or sponsorship of all events. Payment may be made by cash, check, credit card, or ACH

Registration for admission and/or sponsorship is considered a guaranteed commitment at the time of invoice receipt.
Cancellation Policy
Sponsorships are considered final at the time of commitment and the invoiced party is responsible for full payment by invoice date with no eligibility for a payment transfer (credit) or refund.
Cancellations for registrations/admissions received by TBBA 30 calendar days or more prior to the event are eligible for a payment transfer (credit) or refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date are ineligible for refunds or transfer (credit).
Any registrations/admissions over $1000 are considered final at time of commitment and are not eligible for payment transfer (credit) or refund.
Event Cancellation by TBBA/Sponsor
TBBA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.
If TBBA cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.
Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, TBBA has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.
Please note: Outdoor Events are considered ‘Rain or Shine’ and are not eligible for refunds.

Industry Issues and Advocacy
Industry Issues Fund
This fund underwrites the cost of legal challenges to regulatory issues, impact fees, and building moratoria, data research to counter dis- and misinformation as well as public relations campaigns to ensure fair and balanced perspectives are provided. This is a [voluntary] contribution rather than any kind of assessment, dues increase, or a percentage of the value of the business.
Political Action Committee
TBBA does not have a political action committee, but rather allocates a portion of the membership dues and annual budget to its advocacy efforts.
FHBA/NAHB PAC Disclosure
Builder and Associate Dues
Dues payments to the Tampa Bay Builders Association are NOT tax-deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes, but may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Your dues for annual membership to the TBBA include $178.50 for membership in the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and $198 for membership in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). A portion of your 2024 dues to the FHBA is used for lobbying and is not deductible for tax purposes. The non-deductible portion of your 2024 FHBA dues is 32% and the non-deductible portion of your 2024 NAHB dues is 16%.
$27.00 of your dues for membership in the Florida Home Builders Association is allocated to the Florida Home Builders Political Action Committees. This portion of your dues is not tax deductible as a business expense.
This allocation is optional. If you do not want any of your dues allocated to FHBA Political Action Committee, please indicate on payment so and this allocation will be retained in FHBA operating funds.
Affiliate Dues
