Three Memberships in One
Once you join the Tampa Bay Builders Association, you automatically become a full member of the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). That’s three memberships for the price of one. Governmental Affairs
The Tampa Bay Builders Association actively monitors and works with all city and county governments in the region, lobbies local and state governmental officials and legislation, representing the building industry's position on a variety of regulatory issues including land use issues, fees, building & development regulations, Hometown Democracy to name just a few. The National Association of Home Builders' lobbying team represents your interests in Washington DC.

The TBBA’s Political Action Committees contribute thousands of dollars annually to candidates and ballot measures supportive of industry issues and priorities.
Networking

- Committee and Council Participation - TBBA has 4 councils and over 30 committees for our members to get involved.

- Social Events - Building Blocks on the Rocks® is a monthly dutch treat networking event at local establishments around the bay area. Annual BBQ, fishing, golf, and sporting clays tournaments and other social events provide interaction with industry members in a relaxed, fun environment
Marketing & Advertising Opportunities
TBBA offers numerous opportunities to advertise and market your products or services to the industry and public.
- Building Barometer - The association’s newsletter is mailed monthly to all TBBA members, government officials and other industry professionals. Each month 2900 copies are distributed. - Email Banner Advertising – The TBBA offers one banner ad appearing at the top of all emails sent through our advanced messaging system. RFP’s are requested in September for the annual contract which runs from November 1 through October 31.
- Membership Directory - The TBBA Membership Directory is distributed annually to over 1,500 members in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, as well as outlining areas, and is used daily to make new and existing contacts with other members. Builders, general contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and associated businesses use this directory as their primary source for contact information in the local building industry. - Parade of HomesTM Guidebook - This full-color, glossy magazine will feature the homes in this year’s Parade of HomesTM and will be distributed to TBBA members as well as to the general public visiting the home sites - Don’t miss this great opportunity to showcase your quality products and services in this first-class publication. 50,000 copies (10,000 in Parade homes & 40,000 in rack locations) will be printed and thousands more will see the magazine and your ad on floridabuild.com.
- Special Events Sponsorships – Multiple levels of sponsors are available for all events and meetings giving your business high quality exposure if front of the people and businesses you want to do business with.
- Website Advertising – The TBBA has a new website featuring ten premium advertising blocks and one platinum block for member only advertising. RFP’s are requested annually in September for the platinum block and premium blocks are offered in 3, 6 or 12 month contracts throughout the year. Premium listings are also available to enhance your company listing in the on-line directory.

Educational Opportunities
- Continuing Education Courses
- Safety Alliance Council Education Programs – OSHA and other safety related courses offered monthly at no cost to Safety Alliance Council members. Non-council members are welcome to attend at a non-member rate.
- Sales and Marketing Seminars – motivational and educational seminars geared towards the sales and marketing professional.
- Annual NAHB International Builders’ Show features more than 100,000 attendees, hundreds of hours of educational seminars, and product displays from the nation’s leading manufacturers and material suppliers spread out over 35 acres of exhibit space.
- The Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) is a trade show that attracts over 16,000 delegates from the Southeastern Region of the United States. It is produced by the Florida Home Builders Association and offers over 1,100 building related exhibits covering all facets of the building industry. The SEBC also features numerous educational programs in a broad variety of topics that also enable contractors to qualify for renewing their licenses.
